If your camera roll is 78% your dog and 22% your partner… this one’s for you.

Your wedding day is about love and let’s be honest, your pet was there before the venue deposit, before the guest list drama, and definatley before the seating chart meltdown. So why shouldn’t they have a starring role?

Here are some outrageously fun (and actually doable!) ways to include your fur baby in your big day:

🐶 1. Make Them the VIP (Very Important Pup)

Ring bearer? Cute.Flower dog? Adorable. But what about Best Dog or Dog of Honor?

Have your pup walk down the aisle in a mini tux or floral collar with a sign that says:

“My humans are getting married!”

Instant tears. Instant applause. Zero regrets.

Bonus idea: attach a GoPro to their collar for a “Dog’s Eye View” wedding video. Cinema, but make it slobbery.

🐾 2. Signature Cocktails Inspired by Your Pet

Name your drinks after them!

  • “The Bella Bellini”

  • “The Sir Barks-A-Lot Spritz”

  • “The Meow-garita”

Add custom napkins with their face printed on them. It’s chic. It’s chaotic. It’s unforgettable.

📸 3. Custom Pet Illustrations Everywhere

Commission a cute illustration of your pet and use it for:

  • Invitations

  • Cake toppers

  • Wedding signage

  • Temporary tattoos for guests

Yes. Temporary tattoos. Imagine your grandma rocking a glittery version of your cat on her wrist. Iconic.

🦴 4. A Pet Lounge (Yes, Really)

If your venue allows pets, create a mini “Pet Chill Zone”:

  • Water bowls with personalized name tags

  • Gourmet dog treats

  • A comfy bed in the shade

  • A pet-sitter on standby

Your pet gets VIP treatment, and you get peace of mind.

🎂 5. A Matching Mini Cake

If you're having a tiered masterpiece worthy of royalty, order a tiny pet-friendly cake just for them.

Picture this: You cut your cake. They get theirs. Everyone loses their minds from cuteness overload.

🐕 6. Surprise Reception Entrance

Ready to go big?

Halfway through the reception, have the DJ pause the music…

“Family and Friends, please welcome the true love of their lives…”

Cue your pet running in with a flower collar and full crowd adoration.

Will there be chaos? Maybe. Will it be worth it? Absolutely.

💌 7. Honour Them Even If They Can’t Attend

If your pet can’t be there physically, you can still include them:

  • A framed photo at the table

  • A charm on your bouquet

  • Custom cufflinks with their face

  • Naming a table after them

  • Cake toppers of them

Because they’re family.

🐾 Final Woof (or Meow)

Your wedding should feel like you. And if “you” includes muddy paws, zoomies, and a suspicious amount of lint rollers… then lean in.

Whether your pet walks the aisle or simply makes a cameo on your cocktail menu, including them makes your day even more personal and way more memorable. 💍🐾
