When you attend a Quirky Wedding Fayre, you’re instantly immersed in a world of colour, creativity, and individuality. You meet inspiring suppliers, discover incredible ideas, and feel completely free to be yourselves as a couple. But what you don’t always see is the team behind the scenes, the people working hard to make sure every fayre runs smoothly and stays true to everything Quirky stands for.
From recruitment and planning to regional takeovers and awards nights, our managers all play a vital role in bringing the Quirky Wedding Fayre magic to life. So, we thought it was about time we introduced you to some of the faces behind the fayres.
Here’s a little peek behind the scenes…
Meet Jodie
Sales & Marketing + East of england event Manager
Hi, I’m Jodie, and I’m the Manager for the East at The Quirky Wedding Fayre. Alongside my role with Quirky, I’m also an alternative wedding planner, running Ella Bella Weddings and Events and honestly, the two worlds couldn’t complement each other better.
Planning weddings and managing fayres go hand in hand for me because they’re built on the same values: individuality, inclusivity, creativity, and doing things your way. As a planner, I work closely with couples to bring their personalities to life on their wedding day, and that experience feeds directly into how I support our quirky suppliers and couples at the fayres.

I also look after sales and marketing for the East a part of the role I truly love. I’m passionate about discovering new suppliers, championing fresh talent, and building meaningful relationships, while also maintaining strong connections with our regular suppliers who continue to be such a vital part of the Quirky community.
Managing the East means working behind the scenes to ensure our events run smoothly, our suppliers feel supported, and our couples feel welcomed and inspired the moment they walk through the doors. I love being part of a space where non-traditional ideas are celebrated, rules are rewritten, and everyone is encouraged to be unapologetically themselves.
Quirky isn’t just something I do, it’s something I live every day, both professionally and personally. Whether I’m planning a wedding, hosting a fayre, finding incredible new suppliers, or cheering on our amazing community, I’m proud to be part of a team that champions creativity, kindness, and authenticity at every turn.
Meet Holly
north of england event Manager
Howdy! I’m Holly and I am the Manager for the entire North, like John Snow I suppose…
As well as being a part of the Quirky Family, I run Fox & Moon Weddings: an inclusive and alternative wedding planning service. There is no such thing as quiet for me and multitasking is a part of daily life with 2 small children, 2 fur-babies and a husband. I would not have it any other way!

Behind the scenes I am making dinners, doing school runs, walking to dogs, replying to enquiries and thinking about weddings ALL the time. On a wedding day you will find me making sure everything is perfect for you, then later on you might find me throwing some shapes in the corner.
As a Quirky Event Manager, I have assisted in creating a lovely community of inclusive suppliers across the North. My favourite part of any event is hearing on the day or after that fact that suppliers have found their perfect couples. I am proud to say that I put the enjoyment of the suppliers and couples at the forefront of everything that I do. I have just entered my third year… the excitement is real!
Meet Lily
Founder & Director
Hello! I'm Lily and I'm the Founder and Director of Quirky Weddings! I started Quirky in 2019 alongside my wedding and events planning business - Lily Jones Events - after leaving the corporate world of events behind.
Outside of work I am mum to my sassy 8 year old daughter and our two adorable pups. I am also a practicing witch, reiki master healer, herbalist, aromatherapist and crystal healer. I strongly believe in the wonder and the magic of the universe!

In late 2019 I was diagnosed with hEDS and PoTS, a chronic illness that causes chronic pain, fatigue and regular joint dislocations, among many other things. As my mobility went downhill I needed to adapt Quirky Weddings quickly. As you can imagine, events work is very physically demanding and overnight the part of the job I loved, became the part I dreaded. And so I brought in my amazing team of Event Managers across the UK who run the fayres and keep the business alive in their local communities. Day to day for Quirky I now run all the operational side of the business - admin, bookings, finance, marketing, social media, managing staff workloads, and all the fun stuff (I really do enjoy it!) but sometimes I'll pop along to help run a fayre and meet all of our wonderful suppliers. I am also the editor for Quirky Weddings Magazine and write and publish two issues per year, as well as organising and running our annual Quirky Wedding Awards. I have also just taken over Directorship of Unconventional Wedding - one of the UK's longest running alternative wedding directories and blogs.
Since my diagnosis I have become truly passionate about improving accessibility for disabled couples and suppliers in the wedding industry and so I now campaign for clearer and honest accessibility in the industry and across the small business community, as well as running talks for couples on how to plan a wedding day when also dealing with a chronic illness or disability.
Quirky Weddings is my baby and I am so proud of how it has grown into an amazing community of wedding suppliers all working towards a common goal of making the industry and more inclusive, accepting and generally colourful place!
Meet Mark
HR & Recruitment manager
For nearly five years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting The Quirky Wedding Fayre as their HR Manager. While my main full-time job is as HR, IT, and Quality Manager for a manufacturing business in the West Midlands, working with QWF allows me to combine my professional expertise with my passion for giving people opportunities and there are not many better than working with Lily and the QWF. It’s a refreshing contrast to the structured world of manufacturing and something I truly value.

My responsibilities with QWF focus on recruitment and general HR support. When a vacancy arises, I manage the entire process, from placing adverts on Indeed to reviewing applications and shortlisting candidates for Lily. I then conduct the first-stage telephone interviews and coordinate the second stage Zoom interviews. Once we’ve found the right person, I love attending their first Quirky Wedding Fayre to offer support as they settle into their new role and to experience the event in all its vibrant glory.
Being part of the alternative wedding industry is a world away from my day job, and that’s what makes it so special. Meeting creative suppliers and couples who embrace individuality is inspiring and energizing. The highlight of my year, though, is the Quirky Wedding Awards Night—a true celebration of the team’s hard work and the wider quirky family. It’s an evening filled with recognition, joy, and a sense of community that I’m proud to be part of.
Meet Rachael
east & west midlands event manager
Hey Quirky Readers!
It's Rachael here, hailing from the Lecky Joy headquarters where I craft one-of-a-kind ceremonies and capture unique footage of your celebrations. You might have seen me at the latest QW awards or on the usual social media haunts, and when I'm not at a wedding, or looking after my little boy, I'm on the hunt for Midlands wedding venues for the eagerly awaited Quirky Weddings Midlands take over! So keep your eyes peeled, as 2026 may be the year to get your quirky on and meet your dream wedding suppliers.
Your Midlands Quirky Wedding babs,
Rachael x

Meet Jenny
london & home counties event manager
Hi, I’m Jenny – the Quirky Event Manager for London, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire!
Alongside my role with Quirky, I run Wedding Elements, a wedding planning and styling business with my husband Tom. We’re a proudly neurospicy duo – I bring the planning brain, spreadsheets and big-picture vision, and Tom brings the craftsmanship, the eye for detail and the “yes, I can build that” energy. Together, we make a pretty solid team. We also have a toy poodle called Buffy, our self-appointed Head of Security, who occasionally attends fayres to thoroughly inspect exhibitors for treats and good vibes.

I genuinely love what I do for The Quirky Wedding Fayre. From discovering brilliant venues to championing incredible suppliers, I’m passionate about creating events that feel welcoming, exciting and full of possibility. There’s something special about opening the doors and watching couples realise they can plan a wedding that actually reflects who they are.
For me, being quirky isn’t about fitting a particular aesthetic or being the loudest person in the room. I’m a heterosexual, cisgender, introverted blonde woman who has often felt slightly out of step with the world. I’m also proudly neurodivergent and live with a chronic illness that limits me physically at times. Quirky is a space where I feel completely accepted – and that’s why inclusivity matters so much to me.
You don’t have to look or act a certain way to belong here. Whether you’re bold and extroverted or quietly unconventional, there is space for you. It’s absolutely okay to be quietly quirky.
The Quirky Team – Always Growing
These are just a few of the incredible people working behind the scenes at The Quirky Wedding Fayre. Each manager brings their own skills, experiences, and passion to the table, all united by a shared love of alternative weddings and doing things differently.
As our quirky family continues to grow, we’ll be adding more behind-the-scenes stories from our managers, so keep an eye out for future features and team introductions.
Until then, we can’t wait to welcome you to a Quirky Wedding Fayre near you and show you exactly what makes our community so special.
